PAY ATTENTION

So this will be a quick post, but I had to share.   Luckily, in this sea of morons at my school, I have found another person I can depend on for intelligent posts and to do her team work on time.   I had three, but one transferred out of the program to another school.   Poor  me.   I was telling her how I am a control freak (as if none of you knew this already!), and always have myself or another person I trust post team assignments to the instructor for grading in my classes.   She said she feels the same way, especially after a classmate posted a letter to the instructor, on behalf of the team, from her gynecologist in error!  Can you even imagine?  HOW DO YOU DO THAT?   HERE IS YOUR MORON SIGN LADY!   And this is why I have this blog.  And this is why I am such a control freak.

Discussion question: 
How can the privileges of a teacher be abused? Provide an example.

Job stability or tunure as my fellow classmates has stated is one way that can be abused also tution reembursment is also something that can be abused by teachers. Most districts offer tiution rembursement for fellow teachers who wish to futher there education. This can be used to take advantage of this system by educating themseleves on the districts dime and then moving on. If a teacher wants to better themselves then that is great for your district to educate you on that. But it can be a bit unfair if you go to school on the districts dime only to leave when you get a dgree and go do something else besided teaching. I feel that this is a privilege that can be abused somewhat.


Okay, besides the bad writing, how many spelling errors can you count?  BTW, I wrote 600 words about TENURE.  And it was coherent and thought out.

Those who don't know how to read...

During my year of online classes thus far, I find many people (future teachers), who just don't know how to read OR follow directions.   This is quite scary.  My past couple of classes would have clear instructions on how or where to do something and there was always the question to the instructor about what to do.  I finally got so tired of it I started responding to my classmates with things like, "according to page 2, paragraph 3, sentence 5 of your syllabus, it clearly states..."


Now I have two new classes for the next five weeks.  I am much further in the program now and in order to continue at this point, you must have passed the first certification exam called the Praxis.  I noticed a much better group already in my classes and was hopeful that my days of dumb asses would be over.

NOPE.

Today's dumbass:  "how many posts do we need to do weekly for this class".   The syllabus clearly states under EACH WEEK'S list of assignments, so FIVE TIMES, "you must post two substantive posts on four different days of the week" and then it goes on to explain what this instructor means by substantive.
